FIS sends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Kyle Smaine, who passed away tragically skiing in Japan on Sunday.

Kyle was the 2015 halfpipe World Champion and winner of the 2018 U.S. Grand Prix in Mammoth Mountain, but more than that, he was one of the nicest and most genuinely enthusiastic people anyone would be lucky enough to meet in the ski world. He will be deeply missed.

FIS will be thinking of Kyle and all affected by his passing this week.
