It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Ken Block, cofounder of DC Shoes, pro rally car driver and lifelong shred. He died on Monday after a snowmobile accident in Utah. He was 55 years old. Ken is survived by his daughters, son and wife, and his unparalleled legacy in action sports and beyond.
Athletes and other folks throughout the snowboarding, biking, skateboarding, motorsports worlds and more are taking to social media to pay tribute to Ken. “Ken Block was not only the co-founder of DC, but he was the personification of everything our brand stands for,” DC Snowboarding wrote in their statement. “Confidence. Creativity. Innovation. Pushing Boundaries. Colliding Worlds. Ken was a visionary and a pioneer. Our team comes to work every day conscious of the fact that we operate in his shadow, navigate by his compass, and compete with his legacy.”

To 43, and beyond.
