Ben Gravy Surfs Huge New Jersey Bombs Fresh Off the Plane From Hawaii

You may have heard by now that New Jersey has been on fire with huge, epic surf.

Or, as our own Zander Mortan wrote, the Garden State just had its “biggest waves in New Jersey history.”

As Jersey’s Ben Gravy would say, that’s quite a “claim.”

Gravy just paid a visit to Hawaii’s North Shore where he lived the dream board caddying for Jamie O’Brien, surfing firing Rocky Point and notorious big wave spot, Waimea Bay.

As luck would have it, Gravy left Hawaii’s winter swells behind and came home to the bombing East Coast surf in his latest vlog above.

He captioned it:

“Historic “20-25ft” Swell Forecast 50 YEAR STORM in New Jersey

“This weekend was absolutely bonkers. I landed back in New Jersey from my Hawaii trip with just about enough time to brush my teeth before I was packing my car up for the Historic “20-25ft” Swell Forecast 50 YEAR STORM in New Jersey.

“I’ve really never seen anything like this & I was stoked to find some grinding tubes all whilst washing off a heavy trip to the North Shore of Oahu. More Hawaii vlogs on the way by the way! FOR THE DREAM!! – Ben”

Gravy opens the video checking the reports and fills viewers in:

“Here we are, New Jersey. Claiming it. Car’s ready to go. We’ve got some heaviness happening. Biggest swell I’ve actually ever seen hit New Jersey.”

According to forecasts, 20 to 25-foot waves are on the horizon, which Gravy has “never” seen in New Jersey surf report.

‘Nuff said.

Press play above for all-time New Jersey surf.

Like Zander said, “After all, it might be another 30 years before we see something similar.”
