When the winter winds begin to howl, snowfall is sure to follow which means the season’s fun is only just beginning. Right on schedule, the 2023-2024 AMSOIL Championship Snocross Season is set to get under way on December 15-16, 2023 for the Mt. Zion Snocross National presented by Pat’s Motorsports at Mt. Zion Ski Hill in Ironwood, Michigan.

Don’t miss out on a weekend of high-octane excitement in the snow as the World’s Greatest Snocross racers compete at Mt. Zion Hill. This event will feature top Snocross athletes meeting and greeting fans at autograph sessions on top of all the snow-packed action.

You’ll want to bring the entire family for an affordable weekend getaway of activities everyone can enjoy ice skating to youth snowmobile rides a visit with a fire truck. There will even be a coloring zone for decorating ornaments, reindeer games, special vendor surprises, and more for a weekend of festive family fun!

Best of all? Kids 12 and under get in FREE! You’ll probably want to shave your beard if you have a baby face for this one. Save $10 per ticket by purchasing tickets a head of time, visit snocross.com for tickets or more information.

As for the Snocross action, it’s already shaping up to be one of the most competitive seasons in snowmobile racing history and the engines haven’t even started yet. The opening round of the year revs up in Ironwood, Michigan at Mt. Zion Ski Hill.

This challenging track promises to deliver an impressive, elevation-charged experience to open the season. Some of the weekend’s action includes the AMSOIL Dominator event, a heat-to-head competition between the world’s greatest Snocross racers offering a $10,000 payday to the winner. That’s a lot of bread.

To make the weekend even more memorable, local former Pro Snocross Racer and Ironwood native Kyle Pallin will be in attendance. Not only as a recently retired racer and life-long fan either, Senor Smiley is currently the Manager for Team LaVallee. Pallin and Team LaVallee will be competing throughout the upcoming Snocross season beginning in his hometown on December 15th.

Rising through the ranks with 34 career podium finishes on top of multiple National Snocross victories along the way, Pallin remains a fan favorite. To this day, Pallin is just as approachable and enthusiastic about Snocross motorsports as he was as a bright-eyed rookie.

Although this is the first time Team Lavallee has had an official team manager, Pallin’s vast experience will certainly give him a great head start. He’s definitely no stranger to LaVallee as he was racing for the team since 2012, before his retirement.
